A LITTLE RHYME FOR MYSELF

I've been obsessed
With things before
But these obsessions
Are mine not more.

There is no truth
That can't be reasoned
Dogmatic faith
Is not but treason.

The laws of nature
We all abide
Can the laws of men
We all decide?

Hearts full of vanity
I shall despise
Aiming to grow
Of age well wise.

'Cos fame and glory
Shall not dictate
A happy soul's
Fortune and fate.

REVOLUTION

Many times
I wondered why
all revolutions,
once glorious,
came to a bitter
end
in defeat.

Revolution is a word
that comes from
old French,
used to describe
the movement
of celestial
bodies
in the skies
rolling around
something
until their end.

People move
and revolve
for as long as their
most
critical issues
are unsettled
and their most
urgent claims
are unattended.

But as soon as
some of their claims
and issues
get resolved,
they start
slowing down
until full
stop,
or even
reverse.

It is not human
nature what
causes this,
is that people
starting revolutions
are always thinking
about their
own
claims
and issues
instead of
mankind´s,
so then is easier
to overlook
the bigger
picture
and stop.

I might not be any
different,
but am just sharing
what I
thought...

A PLACE TO LIVE

No bars on the
windows,
no locks on
doors,
no fences
around.

No laws to prevent
the new and
bright
to flourish.
Without suspicions
of the
newcomers,
of those with
different looks,
or simply
different.

In other words,
a place without
fear.

NOTHING TO WORSHIP

I despise money
for it is a tool of inequity
although I admit
I need it to survive in an unfair
world.
I reject religion for it
clouds the truth
although I accept
it gives relief
to many.
I doubt the power
of reason
as it is doubt the most
powerful
tool of reason
itself.

So here I am,
stranded lost into a
nothingness
that empties my days
with nothing left
to worship
but love
though not brave enough
to love as much
as I should do.
Not even myself.

And there's no one
here
to help.
