LABELS

As a herd,
we collectively react to
labels
in such a predictable
way
that is easy
for those who do not
care
about you,
to abuse
you.

It is simple.

We are going to call it
left and right,
conservative and liberal,
communist and capitalist
or whatever other way
you have already
seen or heard.

So as soon as
you
get your label
(no need to ask for it,
they'll place it there for you),
people with another
label,
can fear you,
stop listening to what you
have to
say,
put you in a box you
never wanted to
be,
and, ultimately,
hate you.

Just like the herd
on view of predators,
without giving
a mere
thought.

WHAT I KNOW AND YOU SHOULD TOO

I do not know
if a group of
evil men
are gambling
with the world.

I don't give a
shit
about all these
fellows,
all I know is we
can do better
if we focus
on what is really
needed
to do.

The real trap
isn't make you feel
free
(I don`t think
anyone does),
but to make you think
there is no jail
at all,
only bad luck,
something you
can`t change
at all.

So get the hell
out of your mental
swamp
and do what the world
requires from you,
start thinking.

For as long as
you
don't do it
others will do
instead of
you
and you won't
like it.
I can
guarantee you
that.
Just look around
a little bit
and you`ll
see.

That's all I know.

MODERN TIMES

There was a time

when slaves

were forced to work

with the use of 

whips

and chains.

Of course,

chains and whips

were too harsh

to be ignored
so revolts
protests and
insubordination
were always associated
with slavery.

Furthermore,
some clever people
developed
clever technology
requiring qualified people
to work with it.
Slaves did not fit the bill
anymore.

So one day

slaves found
themselves
without a chain locking
their ankles
nor the crack of the whip
on their ears.
Everyone was suddenly
free
to do whatever
they wanted.

All we needed then
(and now),
was some money
to fulfill
our needs.

And this is how
slavery
lost its color,
stopped paying attention
to races or
birthplaces and
focused on
wallets,
bank accounts
and properties,
giving birth to
modern times.

Now there are
more slaves than
ever.
They just don't
even
know.
